After 6 outstanding sessions last year, the Given Insitute has announced the second season of GIVEN Academy skills trainings.
The mission of GIVEN is to help women receive the gift that they are, realize the gifts they’ve been given, and respond with the gift that only they can give. The formation and community women receive through the Catholic Young Women’s Leadership Forum enables women to answer the first two questions about gift and gifting at a deep level. Our mentorship program and GIVEN Academy are designed to support women as they respond with the gift that only they can give.
GIVEN Academy hosts an annual series of six trainings led by lay mentors and religious sisters in the GIVEN Network that will provide opportunities to develop actionable skills women need to fulfill their callings. An attendee from last year noted that GIVEN Academy’s offering is unique and helpful, saying “There is a lot of material available on how to grow in personal holiness, so the focus on virtue and excellence in workplace situations was a helpful focus.”
Each training will be streamed live from the St. John Paul II Shrine and will include a live Q&A session, moderated by 2021 GIVEN participant Sagra Alvarado-Hardy, in which participants will have the opportunity to connect directly with the lay mentor or religious sister leading the training. Registration is now open! Single session registration is available for $25 per session, or register for all 6 by October 27 for a package price of $125–that’s 1 session free. You’ll also get a free gift at the end of the series!
The Given initiative hopes that through receiving the love and gifts of other sisters in the Lord, each woman will be strengthened and equipped to respond with the unique gift that only she can give.
