Hotel Information

The symposium will be held at The Cosmos Club, 2121 Massachusetts Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20008. We have made a reservation for you for 2 nights, June 25 and 26.

If you would like to stay additional nights at your own expense, or if you will not be needing a hotel room, please email Natalie Robertson. The last day to reserve additional nights is May 25, 2019. 

 

Air Travel Information

We ask that you please book your air travel arrangements at your earliest convenience, and no later than June 1. Please make your travel arrangements through Nicole Mattsson (nicole.mattsson@corporatetraveler.us or 646 520 0471) at Corporate Travel. She has a list of attendees, so you need only to mention CWF’s Symposium in June.

Please be ready to provide the travel agents the following information:

  • Departure city (and Arrival city if different for the return)
  • Time preferences
  • Full legal name (as presented on your ID)
  • Date of birth
  • Frequent flier number (if applicable)

Please note that the first conference event is an optional welcome cocktail hour and dinner (for CWF female scholars only) on Tuesday, June 25, at 6:00 pm. The symposium sessions begin Wednesday, June 26, at 8:00 am and the conference concludes on Thursday, June 27, at 3:00 pm.

DISCLAIMER: Please review your flight information prior to approving the booking. You will be responsible for any flight change fees. Make sure the name you provide to the travel agent matches your ID.

  • EPPC will cover your transportation costs to and from the airport, as well as your lodging and food during the conference.
  • EPPC will not cover: baggage fees, airport parking, or miscellaneous expenses during travel.

 

Directions

  • The Cosmos Club is a 3 minute walk from the Dupont Circle Metro Station on the Red line. Exit the station on Q street.
  • From Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport:
    • Metro: Take the Yellow Line toward Fort Totten to Gallery Place-Chinatown Station. Transfer to the Red Line toward Shady Grove and take it 3 stops to Dupont Circle Station. The metro will take 35 minutes and will cost $2.55.
    • A taxi or Uber will take 20-30 minutes and cost $20-25.

Parking

EPPC will be happy to reimburse you for the $25 valet parking offered by The Cosmos Club.

  • The Rear Valet Lot is located behind the Club and is accessed by turning onto Hillyer Court located off Florida Avenue. Please tell the parking attendant the name of our group: “CWF Symposium.”
  • The West Garden Lot is also located off Florida Avenue, with fewer spots and no parking attendant.

  • The Embassy Row Hotel
    • 2015 Massachusetts Ave NW (2 minute walk)
  • Street Parking (no parking during rush hour: 7-9:30am and 4-6:30pm)
    • Massachusetts Ave, NW between 20th and 21st Streets
    • 22nd Street between P & Massachusetts Avenue
    • Florida Avenue between Massachusetts Avenue and R Street
