The 2019 CWF Symposium will be held at The Cosmos Club, 2121 Massachusetts Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20008.

CWF has reserved a room block at a discounted rate of $195/night + 14.5% local tax. If you would like to reserve a room for the symposium, please indicate the nights you will be staying on your registration form and you will receive more information. The last day to reserve a room is May 25, 2019.

Dress Code:

Please dress in Business Attire.

 

TRAVEL

When making travel arrangements, please note that the first symposium event is an optional welcome cocktail hour and dinner at 6:00pm on Tuesday, June 25. The first symposium session begins on Wednesday, June 26, at 8:00am and the symposium concludes on Thursday, June 27, at 3:00pm.

Directions:

  • The Cosmos Club is a 3 minute walk from the Dupont Circle Metro Station on the Red line. Exit the station on Q street.
  • From Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport:
    • Metro: Take the Yellow Line toward Fort Totten to Gallery Place-Chinatown Station. Transfer to the Red Line toward Shady Grove and take it 3 stops to Dupont Circle Station. Metro fare will cost $2.55.
    • A taxi or Uber will cost $20-25.

Parking:

The Cosmos Club has $25 valet parking available for CWF guests.

  • The Rear Valet Lot is located behind the Club and is accessed by turning onto Hillyer Court located off Florida Avenue. Please tell the parking attendant the name of our group: “CWF Symposium.”
  • The West Garden Lot is also located off Florida Avenue, with fewer spots and no parking attendant.

    • 11 Dupont Circle (5 minute walk)
    • 1800 Massachusetts Ave NW (7 minute walk)
  • The Embassy Row Hotel
    • 2015 Massachusetts Ave NW (2 minute walk)
  • Street Parking (no parking during rush hour: 7-9:30am and 4-6:30pm)
    • Massachusetts Ave, NW between 20th and 21st Streets
    • 22nd Street between P & Massachusetts Avenue
    • Florida Avenue between Massachusetts Avenue and R Street
